What Are Bad Breath Herbal Remedies?

What Are Bad Breath Herbal Remedies?

For every ailment, a search for a cure is always there. And for every cure that is not found, another treatment is developed as the next big thing. There’s an alternative treatment for each treatment. Remedies have always been what our traditions taught us and it is also what scientific research gives us. Bad breath is more of an annoyance than an ailment, but a lot of people are looking for solutions to cure it. That’s the reason why products such as your conventional toothpastes, free kitchen ingredients, and even your herbal bad breath remedies came out. Absolutely, herbs can help treat your bad breath.

The difference between taking herbal remedies for treating bad breath compared to other ailments is that herbs are almost always never swallowed. Nobody wants to swallow the foamy toothpaste after brushing, and I won’t even suggest you to swallow the juices of the plants either. You can go “green” when it comes to remedies for bad breath. Think about it, it just like going back to nature since almost every medicine out there that is made also came from plants anyway. To give you an idea, here are some of herbal remedies that you can use for treating bad breath.

Green tea: One perfect remedy for treating bad breath problems is unsweetened green tea. And since it’s a tea, then, you can drink. Also, for the simple fact that it is green, and it’s a tea, it can remove toxins that may cause bad breath problems. The presence of chlorophyll is what some experts say that has something to do with it. Whether it is true or not, choosing tea as a remedy will never be a wrong option.

Tea Tree Oil: While the word “tea” is present in its name, it’s something that I think you don’t want to swallow. The use of it is just the same way as using baking soda: As a toothpaste add-on. To use this, add Tea Tree Oil to your toothpaste and then brush your teeth with it. One more thing, don’t forget to brush your tongue and try reaching back as far as you can to remove more bacteria. You can also use Tea Tree Oil by mixing a small drop of it with warm water and gargle it. I’ll remind you again never to swallow it. The combination of other kinds of oils and Tea Tree Oil is said to be more effective than those mouthwashes that are available in stores.

Cloves: Cloves are found to be an antiseptic. The potion which is a result of boiling a few pieces of cloves can be used as a mouthwash. It may not seem to be appealing to other people, but those who tried using it swears by its effectiveness.

Fennel leaves: Chewing fennel leaves may sound awful. But if you are serious about treating your bad breath, I guess you’d better to take this one. If not, another option would be going for a fennel capsule, mix it with your breath freshener, and use it as your toothpaste for brushing.

These are just a few of the herbal remedies for treating bad breath that you might want to try. Nothing beats maintaining a good oral hygiene, that’s a fact. These alternative remedies for bad breath are just your second options in case you can’t get to your toothbrush, that’s why it’s called “alternative”.
